THE CHILDISH FILM FESTIVAL AT M-SPIFF APRIL 1-16, 2005

SCHOOL PROGRAMS
 

Allow one hour for films and discussion time. Films and videos with subtitles will be read aloud on stage.

AGE OF DREAMS(program for GRADES K-2)
An introduction for young children to different styles of international animation and music. Amusing tales, myths, and dreamlike stories will spark their imagination.
 



ON THE MOON
(Robert Charde, 2004, USA, Beta, 2 min.)
A dog croons to his sweethart, playing his banjo woth the stars.



THE CAT WHO TAUGHT THE SEAGULL HOW TO FLY
(Santa Clara School Collective, 2003, Portugal, Beta, 7 min)
A cat promises to watch a seagull's egg and teach the baby seagull to fly. A very encouraging children's story, animated with Portuguese school children.



WINTER DREAM

A hibernating bear is driven to distraction by a crazy pig.
Handmade animation from an award-wining student workshop program in Croatia.



THE GOLD DUCK

A classic fairy tale about a baker boy and a beggar girl who search to find a magical golden duck.



WHY THE KANGAROO JUNPS ON TWO LEGS

An Australian aboriginal story from the mythical Age of Dreams about Bora the Kangaroo.



THE DOG WHO WAS A CAT INSIDE

Cubism-inspired animation about a dog who struggles with his "inner cat" on the streets of Paris until he meets someone he can relate to.
