Born in Paris, biologists Claude Nuridsany and Marie Perennou graduated from the Pierre and Marie Curie University of Paris and have been working as a team since 1969. Having developed special equipment and techniques for scientific photography, they have produced several documentaries for television and illustrated books on flora and fauna. Their first feature film Microcosmos took the world by storm and went onto win numerous international prizes including five Cesars in France.-AHS
