DIRECTOR: Dana Brown
CAST: James Garner, Mario Andretti, Steve McQueen, Robby Gordon

Shot using more than 50 cameras in a variety of formats -- including HDCAM, DV, film and others, Dust to Glory comes to roaring, vivid life on screen quite unlike any other film this year. From the creators of Step into Liquid, it’s an all out action-adventure documenting the most notorious and dangerous race in the world, the Tecate SCORE Baja 1000. Rivaling the Indy 500 and 24 Hours of Daytona, the race across Mexico's Baja Peninsula is unpredictable, grueling and raw. Here we see the madness and mayhem that ensues when thousands of participants, generations of families and racing icons such as Robby Gordon, Mario Andretti, Jimmy Vasser and Motorcycle Supercross Legend Mike "Mouse" McCoy join together to experience the thrill and the glory of the infamous race. As in their previous effort, the filmmakers capture this extreme venture in an immediate and exhilarating way, and underscore a true event of sheer human determination. Dana Brown has merged a love for extreme sports, the beauty of the outdoors, and grand scope cinema throughout his body of work. His previous directorial efforts are Step Into Liquid (’03) and Endless Summer Revisited (’00), and he wrote The Endless Summer 2 (’00), the follow-up to Bruce Brown’s classic chronicle of surfing. –EC
